Relationship & intimacy coaching for people who had high-control childhoods
Schedule a free discovery call
20-30 minutes ♦ No pressure
You might be functioning just fine on the outside — but inside, you’re second-guessing your wants, unsure how to trust your body, or feeling like you’re always doing relationships “wrong,” even when you’re trying hard.
I work with people who were taught, explicitly or implicitly, that their preferences were dangerous, selfish, or didn’t matter — and who now want relationships that feel grounded, mutual, and alive.
This work is about rebuilding trust with yourself so intimacy stops feeling like something you have to manage or endure.

Who I work with
I work with thoughtful, self-aware people who want to grow, even when they’re unsure how to begin or whether meaningful change is truly possible.
You were raised in a high-control environment
You feel “late” to sex and intimacy
Consent feels important — and confusing
You’re good at adapting to others, but unsure what you want
You’ve done therapy or personal growth work, but something still isn’t clicking
You’re tired of guessing what’s normal or acceptable
What we work on
- Understanding your values
- Experience desire, arousal, and pleasure
- Creating and maintaining boundaries
- Communicating clearly
- Trusting your body
- Feeling confident about what you want
- Easing internal and external pressure
- Expressing yourself confidently
- Connecting in a way that feels safe and stable
- Feeling safe in your body
What coaching is like:
→ Consent-based
You always get to say yes, no, or not yet
→ Collaborative
I don’t push, pressure, or prescribe
→ Trauma-informed
We work with your nervous system, not against it
→ Open-minded
There’s no “right” relationship style you’re supposed to reach; whether you want to have lots more sex, a lot less sex, or sex that's a lot different, that's my goal for you too!
→ Paced for you
Because going too slow is infuriating but going too fast makes you shut down; we find the pace that’s right for you
Please note: This is not crisis support or emergency care. We will remain clothed during our conversations and I will not participate in any spicy chat or activities with you.
This isn’t about fixing you, or pushing you to be more sexual, or to be anything other than who you are.
It’s about helping your system learn that having preferences is allowed — and that expressing them doesn’t automatically lead to conflict, rejection, or harm.

I’ve worked with therapists on and off for decades, and I’ve gotten more out of working with Leah for one month than I have in most of my therapy combined.

Is this a good fit for you?
WORKING WITH ME IS FOR YOU IF:
- you feel confused by your own reactions around intimacy, desire, boundaries, or closeness - even when you want connection
- you want to understand your patterns, not chase quick fixes;
- you want support that's steady, respectful, and non-directive;
- you value consent, autonomy, and mutuality;
- you are self-motivated and excited to do the work!
WORKING WITH ME IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
- you are seeking crisis support
- you are in a relationship that includes addiction, violence, anger issues, or other toxic behavior – those behaviors need to be dealt with first;
- you are still in the depths of processing sexual and/or relationship trauma – my work is trauma-informed, but I am not a trauma specialist and cannot process you through the trauma itself
- you are seeking fast relief without exploration;
- you want someone to tell you what to do

Coaching with Leah has given me new perspective, comfort, and practical tools as I heal from a high-control religious upbringing. She helped me understand that my constant check-ins weren’t attention-seeking, but a survival strategy — which brought me so much self-compassion. I’m deeply grateful for her work with people like me.
FAQ
When I say high-control environments, I’m talking about a specific kind of conditioning that shapes how we relate to safety, desire, and choice.
The discovery call is a 20–30 minute conversation where we get to know each other and you can ask all of your questions.
We’ll talk about what’s not working, what you would like to experience instead, and whether coaching together makes sense. There’s no obligation to make a decision on the call.
A coaching call is a conversation where you get to explore all of your desires, questions, fears, concerns, and everything else. There’s no goal of “fixing” you because you’re not broken.
The goal is helping your system learn that it’s safe to be present, honest, and connected.
We will remain clothed during all conversations and I will not participate in any spicy chat or activities with you.

Yes. In fact, I have found that people who grew up in high control childhoods tend to explore these areas at a higher rate than people who had more normative childhoods. I believe it’s because once we break the bonds of what was “normal” for us in childhood, every other “normal” looks kind of stupid too.
Personally, I am queer and non-monogamous.
