The miracle of integration

A couple of months ago a friend and I started working on vision boards.  I got distracted and left the pieces of mine sitting around, which made me feel kind of weird each time I saw it – like I was letting my vision languish.  This weekend I finally gathered all the pieces back up, and tonight I finally put it all together.

And you know what?!  Everything happens in the perfect time.  I’m so glad that I didn’t do it until now.

When I started this board a few months ago, I decided to do a mini-board for each of the parts of my life – career, love, money, and health.  I would have four small, separate boards that I would artistically place near each other on the wall.

This week it occurred to me – the various aspects of my life don’t happen independent of each other so why should I create such artificial boundaries in my vision board?  Tonight I created a completely new structure.  Instead of four separate boards, I created one larger one.  And I arranged it so that all of the pieces go together.  Career anchors the four corners with money and success floating around them.  Love fills the center with health and gratitude moving throughout that space.  It feels so much more right this way.

I’m so grateful that I didn’t do the project before it was ready to be done.  Now there’s room for it to grow and change because it’s not rigid.  Each of the pieces of my life are important because I’m choosing to create a whole life, not just a career or a relationship – rather, an integrated life that balances everything that’s important to me.  Now I’ve got my priorities in order.  I feel good.  Hallelujah!
