A while back I wrote about a contest that I entered in the spring of 2010 to earn my own radio show on the Hay House Radio network. It would have been a huge step forward professionally; but as I realized exactly a month ago today, it was a step that I wasn’t prepared for then. I’ve been SO grateful ever since that I didn’t win.
But here’s the amazing thing – as we all know, God works in mysterious ways. Tomorrow, I’ll be a guest on exactly that Hay House Radio show that I didn’t win. It happens that the woman who did win has become a good friend. Her name is Michelle Phillips and she is a beauty consultant who works with people to help transform their insides so that they feel beautiful on the outside. Pretty cool, huh?
We’d talked a couple of times about me appearing on her show to talk about my book – since it’s in the same arena – but it never quite gelled. Then a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned to her how much I 
was enjoying writing this blog. I told her specifically about the post “The Miracle of Amazing Men: In celebration of the male spirit” and she flipped out! She said immediately, “You have to be on my Valentine’s Day show! It’s perfect!”
So here’s the beauty of the situation. I desperately wanted to win that radio show but God didn’t give it to me. In hindsight, I’m so glad – it wasn’t the right time or the right opportunity for me. But God gave me something even better – the opportunity to talk about something I’m really passionate about – this miracle journal – while also supporting a friend. Could it get any better than that?
Oh, well…actually it could…last week when I made the announcement that I’d be on Michelle’s show, I heard from another upcoming Hay House Radio host saying she may want me appear on her show as well. Yep, God is GOOD!
