Oops! The Miracle

Today I made a big, dumb mistake.  I’ll spare you (and myself) the details, but let’s just say it’s in the general category of hitting “Reply All” to the entire office when you really, really didn’t mean to.

But here’s the thing – after indulging in about 30 seconds of “How the hell could you have DONE THAT?!  That was so stupid!!!”…I started laughing.  And I’ve kept laughing about it all day.  It was a dumb mistake, but that’s all it was – a mistake.  No harm, no foul.

I wrote a quick apology, sent it off, and life will go on.

It doesn’t hurt that I’ve got some wonderful girlfriends who are quick to rush to my side and offer support, too.

It makes me happy to see that I’m not taking myself quite so seriously as I once did. 🙂

Lesson learned, more attention will be paid, moving on…

Thanks for sharing this oh-so-true lesson. We all have to keep reminding ourselves again – and again – and again, that we’re human. Accidents happen. No guilt, no self-recriminations. Go to bed, sleep well, get up, and try again the next day. Easy to say – hard to live. Let’s keep trying.
