I wanted to share this with you, I found it to be so profound. I have heard it so many times in so many different ways, but somehow, this time it stuck. Maybe it’s because I have teenagers, maybe it’s because I have been whining lately, but in any case I was at my second daughter’s convocation to High Point University when the President told the kids whining was for losers and then followed it with this: “Whining is the opposite of Giving Thanks.”

I almost fell over. I give thanks everyday, but I also complain. I don’t always connect the complaining to whining or to being ungrateful. It was one of those “Aha” moments for me. I thought you would enjoy it!
