Thanksgiving miracles

As I mentioned last night, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  Of course I like to find things to be grateful for each day (hence I write on The Miracle Journal!) but it’s also nice to have an entire day to really focus on what’s best in life.

So tonight I’m thinking about the things in my life that I have to be grateful for.  Guess what tops the list?

You didn’t really think I’d say anything but Mr. Blue Eyes, did you?!? 😉

Here’s one of the amazing things about him – even though we’re more than 2,000 miles apart and don’t know exactly when we’ll be seeing each other again, he still makes me feel like I’m the only girl in the world.  What an astounding gift.

There are also so many blessings to be grateful for (of course this is, by necessity, a very abbreviated list… if I were to list EVERYTHING I had to be grateful for, I’d never get around to posting it because I’d still be typing into next week…)

A mother who loves me

Friends who are so dear

Mentors who support me in every way

A place to live that I love

A car to drive that I feel safe in

A bird who tolerates my presence 🙂

Good food to eat

Books to read that stimulate my mind and get me excited

The internet (for a number of reasons, not least of which is that it allows MBE and I to stay in close touch)

The people who show up to listen and participate each time I teach

The teachers who guide me

The blessing of the particular set of skills and talents I was born with

The Miracle Journal … I feel like I’ve finally found my place and my voice this year

All of you who join me here each day.  Without your support I’d probably have given up on this journal long ago.  Instead it’s an important part of my day.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and I’ll talk to you Friday!
