A safe place to land

Yesterday I had the chance to sit with my friend Becky and write.  We’re both writers – and spend a fair amount of time writing on our own – but there’s something really special about sitting with another writer and having instant feedback.  I loved how present Becky was while she was listening and the depth of the feedback that she gave.  Reading our writing aloud can be such a tender and raw experience, and with her I felt like I was landing in a warm and soft place.

I feel blessed to have started this journey with Becky.  We’ve made another appointment for later this week and I hope that we’ll continue meeting regularly to write together.

We decided to write about the trials and tribulations of our dating lives.  And because we’re both actors and directors, you never know…you might just see us up on stage someday sharing our writing with you!  🙂

We laughed a lot about the guy who took me out for a date and kept saying, “I can’t give you a compliment or you’ll get a big head.”  🙂

What’s your craziest dating story?
