The interview and Miracle Partners

Today I recorded a podcast interview with Sheila Callaham of Magnetize Success and had a wonderful time! I’m excited to hear the finished product because I found our conversation fascinating – she asked great questions and was an enthusiastic interviewer.  I’ll let you know when she’s posted the podcast.

One of my favorite moments in the interview was when she read aloud a bit of the post about a child coloring. When I write, I hear everything in rhythms and cadences inside my head, and I try very hard to translate those rhythms to the page. I always wonder if someone will get it when they’re reading the words without hearing my voice speaking the rhythms. When Sheila read my words aloud, she read them exactly the way I would have – with perfect pitches and intonations and rhythms.  It was amazing and it made me so happy!!

Another cool thing that happened during the interview was a new idea to share with you.  Sheila asked me about ways that other people can begin noticing miracles in their daily lives. The idea bubbled up as I was speaking it!

Here it is:
Find someone who you feel comfortable and safe with and become Miracle Partners!  Set a schedule – say three evenings a week – to touch base (on the phone or in person) for 10 or 15 minutes and share the miracles you’ve experienced in the last couple of days.  Let it be fun – don’t make it a chore! Give yourself an opportunity to notice and acknowledge the miracles that are happening every day in your life.  I’ll bet that the more you let yourself notice the miracles, the more miracles there will be to notice!  🙂

If you don’t have someone you want to do this with, send me an email.  I’d be happy to match people up.

And please, Please, PLEASE come back here and tell me about it!!!  I want to know how it works for you!

This reminds me of one thing that I’ve let go too long without acknowledgement – a few weeks ago I started praying again with a prayer partner.  We talk every other morning on the phone.  We’ve never met in person (we were paired together by a mutual friend). Those 15 minutes make such a huge difference in my daily experience.  I highly recommend having some type of schedule that is your sacred time to connect with yourself and another person.

To Mona… Thanks for being my prayer partner.  You are a miracle in my life.  🙂

Who do you connect with to keep you grounded?
