The “List Of 37” in review

One year ago tomorrow I posted “My list of 37” – 37 things I wanted to do during my 37th year.  This evening I’m closing out my 37th year by looking back and seeing how I did…

Be my own soulmate – For a while I did REALLY well with this.  Little did I know that less than four weeks later I would fall head-over-heels, madly in love.  After a couple of months, I forgot to think of myself as my first-and-always soulmate and shifted all of that expectation onto him.  As regular readers know, the relationship didn’t last and I’m now coming around the same bend again – realizing that I have to put my relationship with myself first and foremost before I can invite anyone else in.  Status – “A” for effort  🙂

Act onstage – Thanks to my dear friend Becky, I did this!  I had a great time in an acting class that she taught and we did a final scene showcase that was a ton of fun. I’m excited that we’ll perform again sometime this fall.  Status – accomplished!

Accept challenges that are outside my comfort zone – Leaving aside the whole falling-in-love-and-living-through-heartbreak (both of which were WAY outside my comfort zone), I’ll refer to just the last the few weeks: shooting a gun and going to my high school reunion.  Status – accomplished…and I look forward to seeing what the next year has in store for me!

Shed my shyness – If this weekend’s reunion was any indicator, I’ve still got some work to do here. Status – credit earned for the strides I’ve taken…but there’s still a lot of work to do.

Focus on healthier posture / Get comfortable driving a stick shift / Go horseback riding – big ol’ goose egg on these.  (But horseback riding IS on my to-do list for this summer!)

Do everything in excellence, rather than attempting perfection – I don’t even remember writing that, but I’ve talked about it several times this year…most recently just a few days ago!

Organize more workshops – This year was about love and emotional healing for me; my career kept chugging along (and making progress), but it wasn’t the front burner issue.  That is starting to change, though, and I’m developing plans for later this summer that I’m VERY excited about!

Follow my passion and trust that the money will follow – I don’t remember writing this either, but it certainly did manifest!  Writing jobs started finding me and I was able to give up my website business.  Financially, I’m healthier than I have ever been – not because I’m out of debt, but because I feel strong and hopeful!

Dance more – another that I don’t remember writing.  I didn’t do it this year, but Latin dancing is high on my list of things to do in the coming year!  YEE-HAW!!!

Continue finding miracles every day / Write every day – Status – done and DONE!

Dearest miracle watchers, thank you for sharing this year with me.  I’m looking forward to even bigger and better things as the YEAR OF 38 launches tomorrow!!!  🙂
