Celebrating Michelle Phillips

Today was a HUGE day in the life of one of my friends, Michelle Phillips. At 6 a.m. this morning, she sat in as guest host on the show The Daily Buzz. From 9:30 to 10 a.m., her new show debuted on the WE Network, Life. Love. Shopping.

Although I wasn’t able to see either show because I don’t have cable, I know with absolute certainty that Michelle was fantastic.  She has made an immense success of everything she has touched in the two years I’ve known her.

Michelle and I met when we both attended the Hay House Movers & Shakers event for the first time two years ago.  We became fast friends, and when I needed some time away that summer, she was the first to say “Come stay with me and my family for a week!”

It was an amazing week – the night I spent floating in the pool with Michelle and her amazing husband Tim while looking out over the Floridian ocean lives as one of my favorite nights ever.

Michelle won the Hay House radio show from that first Movers & Shakers contest – a show called The Beauty Blueprint.  What started as a six-week stint has been so popular, it’s still running.  Michelle invited me on as her guest and gave me my first opportunity to speak to The Hay House audience.

Next up, she got a book contract from Hay House for the full-length version of The Beauty Blueprint.  It debuted as a top seller on Amazon and remains hot.

Part of what I love about my friendship with Michelle is that she’s been so willing to be vulnerable with me, but also stays so motivated and ready to practice what she preaches.

Michelle and I haven’t talked a lot over the last year because she’s been so busy traveling the country to share her message of finding beauty from the inside.  All that, plus raising five kids!!!  Can you imagine?!

So this is for you, Michelle.  I’m so proud of you and I love you. 🙂
