Love @ First Click:
The ultimate guide to online dating

One in five relationships starts online these days. That’s eFlirt Expert Laurie Davis’s assertion and I believe her. Why? Because of my last two relationships, two of them started online. Of my last 20+ dates, all but one were organized through an online dating service.
When I’m in dating mode, I turn to my computer. And then I obsess over what to write, what photos to post, how witty I should try to be, how quickly I should respond, how…, what…, why…, when…… It’s maddening!
I got my review copy of Love At First Click in December when I was just considering dipping my toes back into the dating pool, so the timing was perfect. And her advice is absolutely stellar. From choosing your best picture (did you know that you should wear red?), to why your first meeting is not a date, to how vulnerable you should be so you’re open without causing your match to run for the hills, to how to compose the perfect introductory email, she’s got it all. She even includes a successful real-life email exchange to show how it’s done.
But that’s just the beginning – she also helps you to make the transition from online to offline with grace, which is often one of the most daunting parts of the process. And so much more.
The tone of the book is lighthearted – appropriate for a best-friend-shares-her-secrets book like this. And I trust Laurie because her own online dating story began way back during the time of online bulletin boards, and she met her fiance through Twitter!
New to online dating? Get this book and make it your bible. An experienced online dater? Get this book and make it your reference guide. Seriously, there’s that much good stuff in it!
