Cleansing fear

Hello miracle watchers!  Long time, no talk.  🙂

Thank you all so much for your ongoing messages of support and love.  They mean the world to me!  Being with my mom through her cancer treatment experience has been both challenging and wonderful, and I’m sure I’ll have lots to share about it in the months …

Is this worth celebrating?

A couple weeks ago, I participated in a local short-fiction contest.  The prompt they gave was to write a new story for an old song in 500 words or less.

I chose the song “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes, and wrote the same scenario from the point of view of the woman.  …

Is it fear or is it boredom?

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to submit a book proposal to Hay House, the biggest publisher in the personal development industry. If you have been reading for a while, you’ll remember that I chronicled that experience here on the Journal and over on Facebook.  I was incredibly blessed to have so much support …

How much joy can you stand?

I’ve been on a fascinating learning curve over the last week or so (“fascinating” is another word for oh-my-god-this-roller-coaster-is-going-so-fast-and-I’m-not-sure-my-safety-belt-is-fastened.)

I’ve spent the last couple of weeks focusing single-mindedly on my book proposal and accompanying video.

Although it’s slow going, things have been humming along nicely.  As I teased on Facebook last week, I got some …

The falling elevator

The last few days have been quite an adventure!  I was at a newspaper conference on Friday and Saturday in Boston.

Due to winter storm Nemo (seriously? They named it after a clown fish???) all the public transportation closed mid-afternoon Friday, as did all the roads, so the city emptied out.  We were lucky to …

Will you love me even if I fail?

I had a big revelation last night.  Huge!

I have the opportunity to submit a Miracle Journal book proposal to Hay House Publishing – the biggest name in personal development books – that will be reviewed by the CEO of the company.  As a writer without an agent, that’s practically unheard of in the publishing …

That scary feeling

Today I interrupted myself in the middle of a pattern – jumping into something too soon, not feeling totally prepared, trying to give away too much of myself because I wasn’t totally centered in my own space yet…wanting people to like me.

Not only did I interrupt it, but it happened in a moment when …

The chicken broth miracle

Hello Miracle Watchers!

I didn’t mean to be away for a whole week, but with the holiday craziness and then getting a nasty stomach bug…well, more days passed than I had expected.  But I’m back!

Truthfully, I’m only about half back. I’ve been in bed for two days trying to keep any kind of food …
